Unexpected charge $16 each way for airport shuttle bus. No clear directions on where to catch shuttle from airport. No answer when I tried to call hotel to get shuttle information.

Perfect option for layover
Perfect for a 1 night layover. Shuttle to the airport every 30 mins. Great breakfast buffet, simple but nicely decorated (nordic style). Clean and comfy room. Friendly staff

Location and friendly staff in the breakfast area.
Not informed that the day ticket for parking was a 24-hour type starting at the point of purchase .This to avoid being charged for the minutes it took us to purchase the 24-hour ticket at the machine. On arrival, a tiny piece of paper with just as tiny font with hotel information was handed to us. Difficult to read for some. Family room was way to tight with high risk for injuries manoeuvring around the double bed and children's bunk bed. The playroom was closed for repairs although it was high season for families travelling with young children. Understaffed restaurant. Suggestion: trays for the guests to carry their breakfast and tray trolleys for guests to stow away their trays once done. This will reduce the need for the staff to run so much.

What was the highlight of Scandic Oslo Airport
An excellent airport hotel for a long layover
This is the second time we've stayed in the Scandic Airport, and there are plenty of other choices had the first time not been excellent too! (And I'm very grateful for the early check-in at no additional cost.) Rooms are clean, spacious, the bathrooms immaculately clean, and the breakfast buffet outstanding. This time I also opted for the dinner buffet, equally as good albeit expensive. But what isn't expensive in Oslo? Suggest to save a little money, instead of the S55 bus from/to the airport at 80 NOK per passenger each way, check if there's a Bolt. For any more than 1 person, there can be a savings.
On the expenses - I'm currently in Longyearbyen, where a beer is 89 NOK. The price charged for a beer in the bar is ridiculously high. Really,, it's the equivalent of almost €16. On the fitness centre, perhaps add a bicycle to complement the treadmills.
